 With postal or phone orders WITHOUT EXCEPTION we will require a clear copy of the front and rear of your credit card as well as the card holders drivers licence with a written authority from the cardholder that we can debit it for the amount of the sale. It can be either emailed or faxed.
If faxing, PLEASE ENSURE you use the PHOTO RESOLUTION setting. Fax must be clear upon receipt and unless this setting is used, fax will generally be just all a blur. A normal land line phone number must also be included with the authority and handwriting the card number and expiry date is also advisable within the authority. The purpose of this is for our protection as in the past we have been defrauded for large amounts by unauthorised transactions from people who were not the actual cardholders. Please bear in mind, we cannot verify by phone that you are the actual card holder.
The banks terms and conditions for phone or postal orders where the actual card is not present is that unless we can prove to the bank that the sale was properly authorised by the actual card holder, the transaction will be reversed. The cardholder is always protected from unauthorised transaction, it's the merchant who is not. The card holder cannot be held responsible for unauthorised transactions. All card transaction details are cross cut shredded once mandatory time periods have elapsed.
